Sometimes you win but in the outcome you’ve actually loose. Today I was reminded of an event in my life that happened 5 years ago on this very day.  My heart filled with emotional joy and sadness. I had "won" a court decision that was in the works for 2 years. A legal journey that served for my growth.  As I called my mother to share the joy of my "win" there was also loss. The loss of years without my children. The isolation was unbearable. As I sit here today sharing with you that 5 years ago I won, I also share that I loss 5 years without my children.  Joy and sadness can be felt in one photo. The Secret of Life Today is Summer Solstice. The first day of Summer. Here in Southwest Florida, it was close to 97 degrees. It's Friday, my day off, but my day was busy with errands. Went to my dad's eye doctor's appointment. We went to the car dealership to get his car washed. Stop and ate at First Watch Cafe (love this place) afterwards we stopped at Lowe's and ALDI.   Arrive home at 1:30 PM and I was off to take care of my personal errands. Officially changed the name of my business accounts.  My given birth name is spelled Nancy but I am legally changing it to Nanncie. Why you may ask, as one of the bank personnel did ask me this...the vibration of Nanncie adds up to a fortunate number in numerology whereas the spelling Nancy did not. On Wednesday evening on my drive home from work, my check engine light indicator came on. The car itself was driving perfectly fine. I arrived home and told my dad about it and he said he would look at it in the morning. Next morning, I went to the car and the light was still on.  I called the car dealership to take the car in on Friday (my day off) they asked if I had put gas in the car and I said a few days ago I had. So I made the appointment for Friday morning at 8:30 AM.  I had to cancel my training session. I also had to cancel a class I was schedule to take as well. I wanted to share this thought with you today because of something that happened to me the other day. Do you know that YOU are responsible for YOUR own happiness? There are times when we have to deal with lessons in life. We grown up with divorce parents, sometimes without parent(s), or sad events that effect our lives. I know because I have been in those shoes. I will be honest there was a time in my life that I blamed everyone else for my happiness (because I wasn't living a happy life).....it wasn't until I began "dealing" with me that I began to discover so many things. Back in May, I shared with you my first experience with  Bio-Magnetic Therapy .  I wanted to bring you an update on my journey with this alternative healing method as it has been three months in which I was first introduced  to it by a friend. Each individual is responsible on how he or she wants to live their life.  In what state of mind they choose to live it in....do you want to live it in an attitude of thankfulness or not. Tonight as I reflected on my day.....I choose to live in a state of gratitude.  Why? Because I am truly grateful!  I will share the "WHY" I am truly grateful with you. In January, I checked myself into the hospital because I thought I was having a heart attack....stress and anxiety made me developed heart palpitations. But I felt as if I was having a heart attack. I felt my heart was going to come out of my chest....that is how hard my heart was beating.
