Yesterday Friday the 13th,  my sister and I traveled to North Carolina. My daughter gets married on Sunday. It's an exciting time in my life. I am so very grateful to God for this blessing. Yesterday we flew in to North Carolina. It was so cold and raining. We picked up my dress for the wedding. I had mailed in to Young Cleaners in Concord, NC early because I wanted to make sure it would  be pressed and ready for me when I arrived. I was so pleased with the owner Zelda. She eased my worries and it was a pleasure to meet her after talking to her over the phone several times before I felt sure to mail in my dress.  After we picked up my dress, we drove to the hotel - Homewood Suites by Hilton in Concord. I had called the night before to request early check in. We had woke up very early to begin our travel day. I was so happy when the room I selected was ready and we were able to get settled in. September 22nd is my BIRTH Day. I love painting. I really liked this painting the last time I went to Painting With A Twist with my friends. So I booked it for today in June. My beautiful Blue Moon. Honestly I have way to many Painting With A Twist paintings, (giggle) and since today was my birthday I was also given one from their collection as a gift. I was overwhelmed by the many birthday wishes I received that I made a special thank you video. So blessed by all the love I received today. It was also fun to have a Virgo Twin at Painting With A Twist. Virgo Team It was a great day. I am thankful for everything and everyone that is a part of my world. In numerology, I just enter my 7 personal year. I am looking forward to this year. I know it will be filled with amazing miracles and higher awareness.  My Blue Moon Masterpiece. When you live with an open heart ....... you can't help but see everything thru the eyes of LOVE! When you see LOVE in everything....you are in a state of happiness....gratitude....joyful....peaceful....you are in a state of bliss! Your heart (even if you're going through tough times) is pouring out LOVE! You shine like a star! ** Close your eyes at this every moment and take a deep breathe in and as you let that breathe out.....imagine LOVE surrounds you...feel the warmth of a hug....a tingle of a kiss....just enjoy that bliss! I wanted to share this thought with you today because of something that happened to me the other day. Do you know that YOU are responsible for YOUR own happiness? There are times when we have to deal with lessons in life. We grown up with divorce parents, sometimes without parent(s), or sad events that effect our lives. I know because I have been in those shoes. I will be honest there was a time in my life that I blamed everyone else for my happiness (because I wasn't living a happy life).....it wasn't until I began "dealing" with me that I began to discover so many things. I know that "I am responsible for my own happiness!" not my parents, not the bad relationships, not my family, not even my children.  I am responsible. Over the years, a lot has been written and said about the power of positive thinking. All of it is based on the premise that what's in your head - positive thoughts - inevitably influences what's in your heart as well as how you behave. Here are some examples of the kind of positive thoughts that can lead to happiness: This is such a lovely day. There really are nice people in the world - like the driver who let me pull in front of him so that I could turn at the light. My partner is such a thoughtful person.
